»Nothing,« Tom replied out of breath.
»You’re angry at me!« Luca let his defense fall and urged Tom to stop.
»Are you wondering?«
»Yes…no.« Luca went to the bench and got some water. »Well, maybe a little, but I think you’re rather mad at yourself than at me.«
Tom made a face. »I’m missing your coming out in public? Why do you play the womanizer?« And why did you kiss me, he would have loved to ask, but he just shut up.
»That’s not that easy. I live from acting in films in which I have to turn women’s heads. I’m a lady-killer – at least in films. This would change all of a sudden if anyone gets to know I’m basically queer.«
»Basically queer sounds very absurd.« Tom sighed and emptied his bottle. »I’ve always thought you’re gay or not.« Tom positioned in the middle of the room, but suddenly his strength has evaporated.
The moment, Luca was approaching him to put one hand on his shoulder, someone knocked at the door. Before they could react, Zoe slipped into the room. »Hi, let’s not disturb you! I just wanted to see what my husband is up to.«
Heat rushed into Tom’s face. »I’m not having it off with anyone. Did you leave the kids alone?« He looked at her disapprovingly. »And you know exactly that spectators aren’t wanted around here. I’m going to have a huge problem if Elsenhauer realizes.«
Zoe’s smile faded. »The kids are at your parents. I just wanted to stay for five minutes.«
»No.« Tom stayed firm. He had signed Elsenhauer’s adhesion contract and he would have to pay a high penalty if it came out that he did not keep his word.
Luca opened his mouth to invite Zoe to stay as the door was pushed open and Elsenhauer entered, making a face. »Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! May I ask what’s wrong?«
Tom blushed even deeper. He was feverishly looking for an excuse as Luca answered. »Tom’s wife brought us the polish for our blades. She was just arriving and already has to go again.«
One could see by looking at Elsenhauer that he did not believe a word, but he nodded and gallantly opened the door for Zoe. »Would you please accompany me to the bar, Mrs Weidemeyer? I’d like to invite you for a drink as a small token of my thanks.«
»You really shouldn’t have to, Mr Elsenhauer«, Zoe replied quickly. »I gotta go to meet my kids.« She looked at her husband with an angry face and left the room while Elsenhauer was sitting down on the bench, leaning against the wall. »Let’s see, what you’ve practiced as yet!«
Tom was exhausted, but nevertheless, he pulled himself together and showed Elsenhauer the basic techniques he has taught Luca for the last week.
Tom closed his eyes tightly, as sweat ran over his face. Since Luca was already attacking him, he had no chance to wipe it away.
»Stop!« He raised his hand and looked over to Elsenhauer. »I’m really sorry, Mr Elsenhauer, but you have to come back tomorrow. We’ve already trained very hard today and I desperately need something to eat.«
»I could eat a horse too«, Luca confessed and put his sword into the gun cabinet. »Let’s eat in the club restaurant!«
Tom nodded and put his towel around his neck. Elsenhauer followed them grudgingly and took seat next to Luca.
»We take the menu of the day twice, Jim,« Tom said and waved at the chef.
Jim nodded in agreement and disappeared behind a swing door.
Elsenhauer cleared his throat.
Tom jumped. »Good Lord, Mr Elsenhauer, I’m sorry! I was lost in thoughts. Do you want to join us?«
Elsenhauer looked at him, then at the menu. »Potato with sour cream and chicken sounds great. Yes, I also take the menu of the day.«
Tom slipped from the bar stool, crept under the drop side of the bar and disappeared into the kitchen. Shortly afterwards, he came back. »Everything’s alright, food is coming.«
He sat back and touched Luca’s leg by accident. Smiling, he apologized and the moment, Luca’s hazel eyes met his, he almost melted. Though his mind told him that it was abnormal to long for a touch this much he leaned his knee against Luca’s leg again.
Smirking, Luca held against it.
While waiting for the food, they talked about battle rituals and equipment in the Middles Ages.
»Next week, there’ll be a mediaeval spektakulum nearby,« Elsenhauer commented.
»Yes, I know. We’ll appear there on stage for an exhibition fight. People love that.«
»Gee, I’m coming, too,« Luca said enthusiastically, but Elsenhauer shook his head. »No chance, Luca. You’re going to appear nowhere. Your shooting is just around the corner. That’s too dangerous.«
»I think so, too,« Tom confirmed before Luca could protest.
»But fortunately, you can’t stop me from watching.«
»What do we do if someone recognizes you?« Elsenhauer gazed hat his protégé, frowning.
»So what? I put on a disguise. No-one will recognize me.«
Tom grinned and earned a black look from Elsenhauer.
The swing door was pushed open and Jim brought the first two plates. »What do the gentlemen like to drink?«
»One beer, please,« Luca answered.
Elsenhauer ordered a glass of water and warned Luca. »You still have to train!«
Luca shrugged. »Don’t worry. We have a lie-down on the terrace after lunch, bathe in the sun, relax and get some sleep.«
»In the Middles Ages, alcohol flew by the liter and people fought loaded,« Tom said and ordered a coke.
Elsenhauer stabbed at his potato and did not answer. Then, Jim brought Tom’s meal.
»It’s delicious,« Luca said eating noisily.
Jim bowed. »Thank you.«
After lunch, Elsenhauer pretended to have a busy schedule and Luca and Tom strolled outside to lay down in the blazing sun.
»That’s living the life of Riley, isn’t it?« Luca grinned with a sidelong glance at Tom.
»Yes. When I’m roasting like this, I sometimes wish I would be on a lonely island. I would bathe if I want to, laze around in the sun, fish and sit at the camp fire in the evening singing songs and strumming on a guitar…«
»I’m in,« Luca said.
Tom laughed. »You don’t have any time. We have to get you ready for your big scene. Next week you’re going to accompany me to the mediaeval spektakulum and there, we are going to show the people how two real fighters look like.«
»Oho, two real fighters?« Luca leaned on his elbows and squinted against the sun. »I can show you what a real fighter is!«
Tom took a glance at his watch. »I accept empty promises in half an hour only.«
Now it was Luca laughing out loud. »I’ll show you later what an empty promise is!«
Both of them roasted in the sun with a chuckle and digested their lunch, as Luca’s watch sounded the alarm.
»Oh no, don’t tell me you’ve set the alarm?« Tom murmured and turned.
»Yes, get up! Don’t pretend tiredness! The last round is starting soon. We’re not on a lonely island.« Luca pulled away Tom’s towel and forced him to stand up. Tom trotted after him completely exhausted and put on his shirt as they reached the cold training room. »Well, let’s start then!«
They practiced two more hours one-hand strike techniques until they were that drained that they had to stop.
»I’m really sorry, Luca! The day before yesterday, I was on a birthday party and it was very late. And I drank too much whiskey.«
»No problem, Tom! One can’t fight like a machine every day.«
They went to the door, but before Tom could open it, Luca put his hand on the doorknob and barricaded it. »Please wait…« He leaned forward and approached Tom’s face.
Tom’s heart nervously leapt and even though he had planned not to get weak again, Luca’s nearness aroused him like the play with fire. Thus, he craved for his touch.
Their lips met tenderly, then, Luca pushed his tongue into Tom’s mouth and circled around his tip of the tongue.

p; As Tom hugged Luca, his sword slipped out of his hands. He pressed Luca against the wall, their lips still fused. Hungrily, he held his hips against Luca’s belly and felt blood flowing into his wang.
Luca grabbed his legs and kneaded his bone.
Tom softly moaned with pleasure.
Nock. Nock. Nock.
Shocked, they jumped apart, being at a loss.
Luca unlocked and Mark popped his head through the door, smiling. »Oh, you’re already finished?«
Tom wiped his hands and got his sword which was still lying on the ground. He felt heat rising and tried to overplay it. »Yes, we are washed-out today.«
»I’ve just switched on the sauna. If you want to relax, it’ll be ready in five minutes.«
»Thank you, Mark. That’s what we need today. I got a hangover.« Tom smiled apologizing and headed for the locker room. He only needed to look at Luca and his pulse increased in boundless spaces - not to talk about his dick!
Luca followed him, but the locker room was so crowded that they could only exchange a few meaningless words.
***
Tom hung up his keys and put on his slippers. He still has not got over the intake and the strenuous training. In fact, he felt like an old man. »Good Lord, I’m drained. I need a beer and some fried sausages.« The house was deserted.
So Tom went to the fridge, got some beer and a package of sausages and fried his dinner. He had just planned to sit down at the table when the front door was opened.
»Hello, Daddy!«
Tom sighed and put aside the mustard. His sausages would get legs now anyhow.
Seconds later, Penny and Maja ran into the kitchen and flew around their father’s neck.
»Are you healthy again, Daddy?« Penny pressed her lips on his cheek and looked at him in concern.
Tom caressed her chubby cheeks. »Have I been ill?«
Penny nodded seriously. »Grandpa had to carry you to the car. And yesterday, you slept all day.«
»Oh!« Embarrassed, he looked over to Zoe who entered the kitchen in boots, returning his look reproachfully.
»Did I drink so much?«
»You’d better ask what insults you hurled at Granny,« Anton said and grinned behind his mother’s back. He wagged his brows and raised his thumb. Zoe flapped a brochure against his shoulder. »You elephant ear don’t get involved! That wasn’t funny at all.«
»What did I say?« Tom bit into his sausage, but the next moment, Penny wangled it off him and grinned at him so charmingly that it melted his anger immediately. His youngest knew exactly how to twist him round her little finger!
Longingly, he watched his dinner go. He got the ketchup and, finally, passed it on to her. »Was the birthday party amusing?«
Zoe did not answer. She remained silent and peeled the cucumber. Then she passed it on to Benno who sliced it into pieces.
»Well, so it wasn’t amusing,« Tom noticed and put the pan back to the hot cooktop.
»Have you really been together with Aunt Sandra? I mean, with all the trimmings?« Anton asked curiously.
Tom knit his brows. »What are you talking about? That’s nonsense!«
»Don’t try to deny it, you hypocrite! First of all, you were breaking my sister’s heart and now, you’re breaking mine,« Zoe said without looking up.
»How…?« Tom let air out of his lungs.
Holy shit!
Damn black-out!
He has not only missed the most sensational news of the last decades he had broadcasted them on his own! Damn shit!
»After the fourth glass of whiskey-coke you’ve given away secrets,« Zoe answered his question before he could even place it.
»What did I exactly say?« Anxiously, Tom remembered Luca.
He did not tell anything about the kiss, did he? Maybe that’s why she came to the club to visit him – she wanted to control him!
»You’ve deeply insulted my mother!«
»Oh!« Tom removed the pan and divided the sausages. Insulting his mother-in-law were not real bad news. The thing with Luca would have been much more fatal.
He peeled the kohlrabi and sliced it afterwards. »But I didn’t mention anything about the swinger club, did I?«
Zoe laughed out loud. She laughed and laughed and could not stop anymore. And suddenly, she sobbed. Tom hugged her. »God, I’m a damn idiot! Who gave alcohol to me?«
»My father did.«
»But your father didn’t hear what I…«
»Of course, he did. My father, my mother, her fucker – that’s how you’ve called him – my sister and I. We were all around while you were telling that my mother has sex orgies and pays money for it.«
»Probably, your mother is nymphomaniac and can’t do anything against being unfaithful?« Tom freed himself of Zoe who turned away grumbling.
Well, that was the wrong formulation then!
The sausages were eaten quickly, thus, Zoe made sandwiches with cheese for everyone. This was not an adequate substitute, but nevertheless, it was delicious.
»Do you get divorced now?« Maja asked out of nothing.
Benno’s sausage flew out of his mouth. He coughed and blushed while he looked at his parents in panic.
Tom rolled his eyes. »Why should we? Do you really think we are getting divorced just because I was going out with Aunt Sandra fourteen years ago?«
Maja nodded shyly.
»Horse hockey!«
Zoe’s snorting let him look up. »Don’t tell me that’s a reason for a divorce?«
»No, but you’ve lain to me all over the years! I’ve always thought Sandra is jealous of me because I hooked some guy and after all, you dangled first at her hook.«
»She has thrown me back into the water, dear,« Tom joked, but Zoe was not laughing. »You don’t want to sulk with me for the next fourteen years, do you?«
»No.« Zoe lowered her toast. »But I really feel bad about my sister. By the way, that’s explaining why she is strolling around you like a cat in heat.«
Before Tom could say anything, Penny asked. »Mom, what is a cat in heat?«
»In heat means, the cat wants to have a baby,« Benno explained. »I’ll show it to you later. It’s written in one of my books about home animals.«
»Thank you, my brother Benno!« Penny smirked at him and caressed his shoulder. Immediately, they hugged and held each other tight.
»Does Aunt Sandra want a baby from Daddy?«
»No,« Tom called shocked.
»Cats in heat are screaming horribly loud,» Maja said annoyed. »When Mrs Meyer had still had her cat, I couldn’t even sleep sometimes.«
»She still has her cat, but it’s spayed now,« Anton interjected.
»What is spayed…?« Penny asked.
»That’s when the animal doctor is cu…,« Anton made a gesture as if he wanted to cut something, but Zoe preempted, reducing him to silence with a stern look. »Mrs Meyer’s cat can’t get any babies anymore, Penny. She is very old now.«
Nobody dared to contradict, thus, Anton switched the radio on and put the rest of his sausage into his mouth.
»Why are you already drinking alcohol?« Zoe stared at Tom’s beer.
»Darling, I have to come down slowly,« he joked and was about to drink out of his bottle.
»At least, take a glass!« Zoe complained.
»No, that’s impossible. You can’t drink pils out of a glass. But you women don’t have a clue.«
»Men!« Zoe stood up snorting and got some yoghurt out of the fridge.
»Women!« Tom sucked at his hops mixture in silence and waited patiently for his kids to finish dinner. Then, he and Zoe cleared the table.
Afterwards, he disappeared upstairs. His loft under the roof was his personal place of refuge, his own oasis. Here, he has furnished his office and, meanwhile, half of an observatory.
Groaning, he took a seat and stared out of the window. He thought of Luca and, immediately, felt the arousal rushing through his body like a rocket. While he was thinking abo
ut whacking off, someone knocked at the skylight.
»Penny wants you to read a book.«
»I’m coming.« Tom popped his head through the window and breathed fresh air. He felt extremely tense, like a bow shortly before launching. After the lecture, he would have to get rid of some pressure - on his own.
***
Hunted, Tom looked to the left and to the right, then, he entered Heinz & Fiete, the gay info shop, he traced on the Internet.
He did not exactly know what he wanted there. He did not feel queer, even as a juvenile he had never had the desire to do something with boys. He did not even feel aroused seeing naked men. He has always fancied women, tits, round shapes and, of course, pussies. But this feeling of unbridled lust which took grip of him each time he was standing in front of Luca was completely new and strange. He would really like to be near him continuously, to kiss him, to touch him, to undress him and to discover his naked body. In a word, Luca made him crazy in a physical – and mental – way.
Shyly, he entered the room.
Several men were looking at him friendly.
»Good evening,« Tom said softly and wished he could disappear into thin air.
One of the men separated from the circle and approached him with an outstretched hand. »Hello, my name is Michael. Welcome!«
»Hello, my name is Tom.« Tom blushed and secretly thanked for the dim lights.
Michael went back to his seat, clearing his throat. »I’m pleased to see you all again and I’m glad you’ve come in large numbers. Who wants to tell us about his experiences of the last few weeks?«
A balding man put up his hand. »I’m starting!«
»Well, thank you, Max.«
»My wife has finally agreed to meet me. I’m allowed to see the kids next weekend.«
Delighted, some men congratulated him.
Tom swallowed.
Who knew what was in store for him!
Would Zoe take away the kids as far as she got to know that he kissed Luca?
How would she react if she knew that he wanted more than harmless kisses?
»Thank you, I’m also glad about it. It’s been going on for several months now that I could talk with my wife again. Even at our divorce date, she only communicated with me through her damn attorney,« Max said and wiped his forehead. He nodded towards Michael who began to speak. »First of all, I’d like to welcome Tom in our group. Tom, we’re pleased that you’ve come.«
